You are correct about the brand.  They are Emulex.  I have put the cards in
before and they are Emulex. Trust me.  Just like the ones in the Shark.

What is not correct here is the LP8000 is not the 6228.  I actually think
that is the 6227.  The 6228 has an LC connector on it and is 2Gbit.  I think
it is the LP9000.  You have to order the 6228 with the jumper to convert to
SC connectors if you need that.
