I've had the same thing happen a couple times before. Restarting dsmserv
still shows those phantom sessions.
You can do a 'netstat' to see what hosts are trying to connect.

I ended up rebooting the system to fix it.

I didn't investigate properly as it happened at the most inopportune
moment. I'd say it's a bona-fide bug though.
