We had similar actlog errors when setting up our new Spectralogic/64000
tape library. Make sure to assign SCSI IDs and terminate properly for
EVERY component of your library, even those that aren't going to be used
right away. For instance, if you had two drives that you aren't going to
utilize at go-live (cuz you don't have enough cables/cards, etc.), you
should still assign them unique IDs and terminate them properly.

I don4t know if this is the problem but every time i restart my machine
i get
these 2 errors in my "System Event Log"

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Ultrium ) could not be
found.
It contains the following insertion string(s): \Device\Tape0."

and this one

I am using "IBM Ultrium Tape Drivers (3580, T200, TX200)
they are version "1.1.7.7"


When i am getting these I/O Errors i am getting these errors in my
"System
Event Log"

First this one

"The device, \Device\ScsiPort1, did not respond within the timeout
period. "

Then this one

"A check condition error has occured on device \Device\lb0.0.0.1 during
Move
Medium with completion code DD_MEDIA_NOT_EJECTED. Refer to the device's
SCSI
reference for appropriate action.

 Dump Data: byte 0x3E=KEY, byte 0x3D=ASC, byte 0x3C=ASCQ "


This is what i have tryed so far.

I have changed the SCSI Terminator.
I have changed the SCSI Atapder.
I have changed all the SCSI Cabels.

Please Help me
