You can use Raid-S on EMC, which is a 4 disk raid-5 like
setup.  We have one simm setup like this.

Not necessarily recommended, but possible.

Actually, it's quite possible that raid-5 is a good fit for a storage
pools.  If there is enough data coming in to write an entire stipe
at a time, then there would be no write penality.

Like most things, it all depends . . . . .
