Autovault is a competing product for DRM.

Simple comparison:

Autovault will manage the movement of your COPY POOL tapes offsite/onsite,
and also creates scripts to help you recover your TSM server in a Disaster
situation.

DRM will manage the movement of your COPY POOL tapes offsite/onsite, creates
scripts to help you recover your TSM server in a Disaster situation, and
also provides support for electronic vaulting, where you transmit your data
to another TSM server in a remote location instead of creating COPY POOL
tapes and moving the tapes.

Autovault costs a lot less; very cost-effective for sites that do not need
the additional electronic vaulting support.
