The dsm.opt file is read when the client gui/command line starts and when
the schedule service is started. (So you must restart the schedule service
if you've updated the dsm.opt.)

dsm.opt file need to be in both?
On old clients, the saclient directory contained the admin and gui
executables, the option file here is used for them (you only need the
communication paramaters here). The baclient directory contains the client
gui, cli etc.

Your exclude does look correct to me for the "Temporary Internet Files", one
way to see if an exlcude is working is to start the gui, the excluded files
should have an "x" in the box. Does pagefile.sys have the "x"?
