Yes, this affected the linux client also. The problem (at least in the linux
case) was the 4.2.0 TSM
client failing to write the encrypted password to disk with the 3.1.2 server.
This problem has been corrected for the TSM 4.2.1 client (AIX & Linux) by the
inclusion of the fix
for apar IC31367.
