Last year Dwight asked the following and didn seem to get a reply????

 Date:      2000, Apr 04
 From: Cook, Dwight E <cookde AT BP DOT COM>

 So have I missed something with the old client & the new server...
 on the old ADSM NT client & the new TSM server the dang server goes out &
 touches the client about every two minutes making for a real cluttered
 sched.log.
 schedmode is prompted... did I miss a server setting that determines this
 interval ? ? ?

 03/29/2000 00:01:59 --- SCHEDULEREC QUERY BEGIN
 03/29/2000 00:01:59 --- SCHEDULEREC QUERY END

I am now seeing the same for a Solaris (2.8)client using TSM V4.1.2.0
Schedmode=prompted
                    AIX (4.3.3) sever using TSM V4.2.1.0   Schedmode=any

Why does the server poll the client from 06:00 to 15:00?????? (At all???)
This is cluttering up dsmsched.log unnecessarily.

As follows :-

10/04/01   02:00:56 --- SCHEDULEREC QUERY BEGIN
10/04/01   02:00:56 --- SCHEDULEREC QUERY END
10/04/01   02:00:56 Next operation scheduled:
