we've seen the rc=50 errors on one of our exchange servers. Ultimately it boiled
down to a network problem, in our case faulty ethernet cards. We could easily
simulate the TCP/IP problem by ftp'ing a 500mb file from the exchange server to
the TSM server, funny thing is that a put would break anywhere between 10mb and
300mb but a get of the same file from the TSM server would always succeed.
After replacing the ethernet cards everything was back to normal.
