Dwight - Beware that this is a non-trivial issue...  If the client had been
         at a given level (e.g., 4.2) and was then downgraded (say, to 3.7),
the data stored at the 4.2 level will still be in the server in the specific
format that is peculiar to that level of software.  Attempting to restore
it from a lower-level client is problematic at best.

If that client's situation now is "messy", you may want to consider doing
a Rename Node to start over with that client, if that's realistic.
That should certainly reset the client level in the server.
You can restore from the former name using a client of the appropriate level,
on that machine or elsewhere.
