You ran out of log space....you will need to add more logspace and extend
your log and restart you server....
dsmfmt -log /pathname/vol_name 100 =>you may need a larger value here
dsmserv extend log /pathname/vol_name 100 =>you may need a larger value here
sometimes the file deletion will generate a lager amount to messages to the
logs and it can take up all of your log space.

At 1:30PM today our in-office TSM server (not particularly critical) died.
When I try to start it I get the output pasted below. The last known
function the server was doing when it crashed was deleting the filespace on
one particular node that had around 1.8 million objects. DB size is 2GB and
log size is 2GB. Before the process began my DB was about 71% utilized and
log space was hardly used at all. While it was doing the process it seemed
to jump around (log utilization) from 20-35% or so. DB utilization obviously
kept dropping.
I don t have any ideas offhand. I think theres a DB backup even that went
off during the filespace deletion. I m not sure offhand if that would have
an affect on any of this but I d like suggestions if anyone has any..
