For me - most annoying is, that you can't sort the output in the Webbrowser.
Because you can't give an "order by" to the Query Commands.
In the GUI, I was used to sort e.g. the Volume-List by Percent Reclaimable, to
see which Volumes will go through the Reclamation on weekend.
The only solution is, to use SELECT Stmts and use the "order by" Clause. (But
this is a way to go back to the keyboard! I have no problems with that, but is
it the right way ?)

Thema: GUI client for 4.1?

Recently I migrated an ADSM server to TSM 4.1
I can't find the Admin GUI at the tivoli web site or at the CDs
that came with the package (Solaris edition of server).

I find the web GUI to be lacking numerous details which were present on
the client GUI. For instance when viewing storage pools the GUI had some
info about the pools as it listed them. The web GUI I have to go into each
pool to see any info. I end up doing a "q stgpool" to see the info I need.

I have an old GUI client I still use, but I wonder why the GUI client was
eliminated or why the web client offers less info?

I have not upgraded the server beyond 4.1, partly because I don't know how
yet, but do newer versions have any improvements on the web management GUI?

Another example of difference. When listing File spaces the client had
info about utilization, last access, etc.. The Web GUI just lists them and
to see any kind of info one has to either select each file space or
manually do a query.

Any advice on the easiest way to manage the server Other than learning
more commands and doing more work at the command line?
