You can verify your setup in advance (we've been through this last year):
I assume the new AIX box you are moving your ADSM server to is already
up and running with the final IP address.
Simply try "mtlib -l /dev/lmcp0 -qI" to get the inventory of your library.
If this should fail I can think of two reasons:
(1) /etc/ibmatl.conf does not point to your library
(2) your new ADSM server (address) is not authorized to access the 3494
