Excellent!  I generally make a note of the volume number of a tape I have a 
problem with and if it pops up again any time soon, I move data off it and pull 
it.  These tapes are "guaranteed" by IBM.  Call 1-888-IBM-MEDIA and you can get 
replacements.

I checked out the volumes, then checked them back in. Voila! It completed
