no "delete volume" because of segment references
2001-03-19 12:01:28
Hi *SM'ers !
In order to remove a storage pool that is no longer in use, I tried to delete
all volumes belonging this storage pool, what worked perfectly except for one
volume that was already empty, where I got this message :
03/19/01 17:24:08 ANR2017I Administrator xxxx issued command: DELETE VOLUME
0BA40C discard=yes
03/19/01 17:24:09 ANR1423W Scratch volume 0BA40C is empty but will not be
deleted - volume access mode is "offsite".
So far I agree, but what annoyes me is the following : I tried then this
command :
03/19/01 17:24:41 ANR2017I Administrator xxxx issued command: UPDATE VOLUME
0BA40C acces=readwrite
that was supposed to induce an automatic deletion of the volume, but I obtained
the following result :
03/19/01 17:24:46 ANR9999D asvol.c(2847): Volume 0BA40C cannot be deleted to
SCRATCH - it still has SEGMENT references.
03/19/01 17:24:46 ANR9999D asvol.c(1726): Unknown result code (267) while
deleting a volume.
Did anybody ever face this kind of problem, and what was the solution for it ?
Thanks in advance for any help !
Arnaud
