AIX 4.3.2. TSM 3.7.3.6 client 3.7.2 Informix server 7.3.1 UC2
I am having a problem that may or may not be related to TSM... This morning, a
production server running Lawson with an Informix database locked up. All device
files in /dev and two other files in my client BMC SQL-BackTrack for Informix
path were GONE... That meant that database logging stopped... These device files
were:
afcprod2: /usr/bmc/IFX/afcprod # ls -la
total 16
drwxrwxr-x 2 informix informix 512 Mar 14 07:01 .
drwxrwxr-x 12 informix informix 512 Sep 01 2000 ..
prw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 0 Mar 14 03:19 fifo.data
prw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 0 Mar 14 12:54 fifo.log
This happened once before, on Nov 22 last year which was also a Wednesday and
also around 7AM in the morning. I
looked at all the scripts being executed from cron and could find nothing that
might be a culprit. Any ideas or suggestions
would be appreciated. TSM is linked through the OBSI module to SQL-BackTrack for
Informix.
