Sorry, I just realized the SQL query I gave you will wrap the output at an
inconvenient spot.
This one works OK (the blanks are intentional":


adsm> select 'update libv LB10.0.0.7' as "                          ",
volume_name, ' status=scratch'  from libvolumes where status='Scratch' and
library_name='LB10.0.0.7' > d:\status.txt
