Thierry - There is nothing you can do except quell any other
          activity on the system, and open a problem report with
Tivoli regarding the long-neglected performance issues with the
TSM recovery aids.  Development attention continues to go to
"up front" facilities, with the vital recovery aids having gotten
virtually no attention in years, hence their poor performance.
Tivoli doesn't seem to care that an enterprise may be out of
commission for days because its restoral data is held hostage
behind an agonizingly slow TSM db recovery.  I would recommend
that TSM technicians make sure their management is aware of this
issue, before the worst happens to your business.  That may help
bring pressure upon Tivoli representatives such that the
performance of these aids is finally rendered acceptable.
