We upgraded recently from ADSM 3.1.0 to Tivoli 3.7.0 on 12/10/2000, the
operating system is AIX 3.7.
Our expiration process that is scheduled daily is not expiring as many backup
objects as it was prior to the upgrade.
The library is split to accommodate backup and archives. The 3494 library is
full and we have had to remove primary backup storage pool volumes from the
library to accommodate the request for scratch volumes. The issue of purchasing
additional library space is not an option at this time.
Archived files have never been set to expire, we keep all versions indefinitely.
Backup files should be expired with various versions being kept on various
servers.

Does anyone know the reason that we should be experiencing this sort of
behavior? Below are examples of expiration processes before and after the
upgrade.
