This sounds like APAR IC24882. I recommend going to the 3.7.2 client, patch
level 3.7.2.19 in particular, or the 4.1.1 client, patch level 4.1.1.16 in
particular.. You can find them on our anonymous ftp site,
ftp.software.ibm.com. The directories are:

For 3.7.2.19:
/storage/tivoli-storage-management/patches/client/v3r7/Windows/v372/i386/single.

The files you want begin with IP21933_19. Be sure to review the
IP21933_19_README.FTP file first.

For 4.1.1.16:
/storage/tivoli-storage-management/patches/client/v4r1/Windows/v411/single.
The files you want begin with IP22088_16. Be sure to review the
IP22088_16_readme.ftp file first.

Andy

Subject: Error on 3.7 NT client

Hi All,
Need help on this. I have an :
TSM 3.7.8 (AIX 4.3.3). I scheduled a backup for my NT client which has 3.7
installed. It started just great. After 2 hours (i set a duration of 6
hours), an error pop up on the client screen :
"dsmcsvc.exe something at "0x0042ff7e" refference memory at "0x00000000".
The memory could not be "read".

I can only click ok to stop this and the backup paused. I think it has
stopped.

What could the reason be? Do I need to install ML for my client since my
server is having 3.7.3.8 but my client is still 3.7?

Glad for all your input. Thanks.

regards
Ameerul
