We are running the TSM AIX BA Client 3.7.2/API Client 3.7.2/
TDP for Lotus Domino Client 1.1.1.  The server is at 3.1 Level 2.50
(VM ADSM).  When we backup the Notes system we get 50 or 60 files
backed up before seeing the message

ANR0444W Protocol error on session xx for node LN_NOTEMAIL_AIX (TDP
Domino AIX) - out-of-sequence verb (type Confirm) received
This is followed by an ANE4990Iindicating the backup failure.

Another session then starts and the backup continues.  The
previous session remains on the server (and won't terminate nor
can it be cancelled.

This continues until the server runs into MAXSESSIONS and locks out
more sessions.

On the client side we see

Backup of /mail/user.nsf failed
ANS1017E (RC-50) session rejected tcp/ip connection failure

Then there are a series of successful backups followed by another
failure.  Again this continues until the MAXSESSIONS lockout.

Why aren't the sessions being released after the failure?
What is causing the intial failure?
