Hi all,

I'm trying to link to a TSM DB using ADO through TSM ODBC driver.
When I'm linking a TSM table into Access, everything works perfectly
well and I get prompted for the UserID/Password pair.

On the other hand, when using Microsoft ADO (ActiveX Data Objects)
I get a "Catastrophic error" when I open the connection. The problem,
IMHO, is that the UID/PWD is not sent (properly or at all) pair when the
connection is made.

I defined a system DSN named "TSM Database". The server & the client
ODBC app' are on the same Win2000 (pro) machine. ADO is version 2.5
on Windows 2000 pro.

I used several ways to transmit the UserID/password pair when opening
the connection (i.e. typing them in a file DSN or using them when
opening
with ADO) but I always get an error (either "catastrophic" or
"undefined"
errors). What I'd like to do is provide the UID/PWD pair in a form and
make
a silent connection to TSM using ODBC.

I can create an Access DB that is linked to TSM DB but I'm prompted for
TSM Server ODBC identification when I open the connection... How can I
do or what's wrong ?

Thanks in advance,
Vince
