John,

Take a look at the "/ADSMAUTODELETE" and "/IFOLDER"
commands/options introduced in version 1.1.1.0 version of
TDP for Exchange.

Thanks,

Del

Subject: Expiration of objects with TDP for MSExchange

By design, TDP for Exchange does not expire backup objects. Instead, the
Exchange admin must sit down and manually expire what is no longer needed.
The TDP object contains the date and time of the backup in the filename.
With 10+ exchange servers and growing this can become a time consuming
task.
I then begin to think that there must be a way to delete old objects
programmatically. Has anyone already invented this wheel? Is this a
requirement already on the table with Tivoli?

Environment is AIX 4.3, TSM 3.7 and TDP for Exchange 1.1.
