I've certainly seen this error but largely from some of our Solaris
clients - as it's these that lose their respective NFS servers more
often. It does seem rather drastic that all backups from the clients
concerned fail just because of a stale nfs mount in the / partition .
I just have to tell the administrator of the systems concerned that
there may be an NFS mount problem that they have to sort out before
any further backups can proceed.
I suspect that TSM is at the mercy of how NFS works in this situation.
But if this was fixable it would certainly be a great improvement.
