Yep...
but to clear those "really long retention files" you may rename your client
on the OS390 adsm/tsm server (I like to just add an "o" to the end to
indicate "old") remove any junk I can for that node... (if I'm only needing
long term archives the I'd delte the backup data for all the file spaces)
THEN I'd export & import the node.  AND since when I was doing it we didn't
have "stand alone" 3590's on MVS (we had'em in a VTS) I had to use virtual
volumes over on the aix box to perform the export from mvs's adsm... then
imported the node to the aix adsm server from the virtual volumes which
resided on physical volumes within the aix adsm... (whew!)
pain in the rear no matter how you go about it but it is possible...
