How do I know I,m getting 60 G. Compressed on 3590E's?

We recently upgraded our 3590b's to 3590e's. These drives are
supposed to get 20 gig per tape and 60 gig per tape compressed.
When I query a volume it just tells me the capacity is 20 G. Does
anyone know how I can verify how much data I'm getting on one tape?
We run the drives in a 3494. AIX 4.3.3.0, TSM 3.7.2.0. Any Info would be
greatly appreciated.
