First off I must say that I am a consultant and am not a full time *SM
admin. But some of my customers either have no interest or are in
short supply of IT talent that can't be bothered by backup/recovery
and DR.
Right now I am performing the final touches on a TSM install I have
built from the ground up (and I am on my own on this one, I am
training the UNIX & NT folks as I go, but nobody knows anything about
*SM right now).
That makes 1 admin for 26 nodes backing up 1TB of data each night and
a total of 20TB of data on tape. My goal is to make this (and all)
implementation as turn-key as possible, allowing the admins to keep
working on the servers and only work on the TSM implementation when
there is a hardware or software error.
