it would make sense if you were running the scheduler under a cron job,
since outputs from cronjobs are
sent as mail to root, but i don't see why you would run the scheduler under
a cronjob.

Subject: mail of dsmsched.log when recycle scheduler?
Has anyone else noticed this?
I'm running ADSM client 3.1.07 on AIX 4.3.2. It
appears that whenever I stop and then start the
scheduler, I get a mail message sent to root that
contains the portion of dsmsched.log since the last
scheduler stop/start. Is this normal? Something that
started with 3.1 and I never noticed it before?
