We are using 9840's in both our MVS ADSM & HSM environments and out SUN TSM
environments.  We have 20/10 9840's drives in STK 9410 Silos. We will be
installing  10 more 9840's in our environment  next month.  We have had 2 stuck
tapes, and one possible static discharge (Did not hurt tape).  Other then the
price of the media we are very happy with the 9840's.

We trailed both 9840's and 3590's found both would be good solutions in our
environment.
