I think you'll find that Lotus have written an API specifically for use by
backup products and that this API is only available from R5 onwards.
Has anyone got good/bad comments regarding the use of the new TDP for Domino?

I have added the notes path to the system PATH environmental variable. I think
my problem is related to Del's response. We have Domino 4.x but are attempting
to use TDP for Domino. What I do not understand though, is why the TDP for
Domino is not backward compatible with older versions of Lotus.
This backwards compatibility really SHOULD be supported, we are not talking
about extremely old software here. Frankly, I think IBM has dropped the ball.
