Hi Angel,

I think that if you "q policy f=d", it will show you the default
management class. The default management class is used if you do not
explicity request an althernative in the INCLUDE/EXCLUDE file or on the
dsmc command line.

q mgmt to see if NT1_DIRECT_TO_TAPE_MC is flagged as a default management
class.

Also, look for additional dsm.opt files on the client that might be getting
used.

Is the backup run by ADSM scheduler? If so, the default mc to use could be
specified in overriding client options.

Hello everyone.

I have an active Policy Domain, NT1_DOMAIN, of which two management
class, NT1_DEFAULT_MC and NT1_DIRECT_TO_TAPE_MC are defined.

One NT client has been using the NT1_DIRECT_TO_TAPE_MC for awhile
and I can't figure it out how it's calling it. I looked at the dsm.opt
file of this
client and I don't see the *DIRECT*MC specified anywhere.

What should I be looking at?
Can someone please tell me how to determine this?

TIA,
Angel
