Thanks for pointing this out.  On NTs, there are 2 registry files that are 
always
locked when a user is logged on:
c$\WINNT\Profiles\system\NTUSER.DAT
c$\WINNT\Profiles\system\ntuser.dat.log

I checked dsmerror.log on another NT machine running ADSM 3.1.0.7, and sure
enough there are TWO lines of 'Win32 RC 32' for the two files that it cannot
back up.  Each error is right before
'Error processing ...NTUSER.DAT: access to the file object is denied'.
And most important, there are ONLY TWO 'RC32', not more than
100 lines.  I suppose I can just ignore these 100 lines of errors and set
ERRORLOGRETENTION to smaller than 10 days.
