Keep it simple: one pool hierarchy unless you have a business reason to do
otherwise.

We worked an install on a site similar to yours.  It was 3494 instead of
STK/DLT.

If you have enough network you should be able to do 600 GB a night.  I think
the site above was doing something around 300 GB /night.  The only other
concern I have is your tape technology.  With ten drives, though, you should
be OK.  How much disk pool do you have?
