I have a customer who has recently upgraded from 3.1.2.50 ADSM to TSM
3.7.2.0. Since the upgrade, they have noticed that they are no longer getting
the tape capacity they had been getting under ADSM. They are using a SCSI tape
library that contains Sony SDX-500C tape drives - AIT2 tape technology. Before
the upgrade, they were getting approximately 100GB per tape. Now they are
getting closer to 35 GB or so. They have even reported one tape that got 13GB
before TSM reported that the tape was full and then requested a new scratch
tape.
I have opened a problem with the Software Support Center on this, but I am
wondering if anyone else has reported or noticed this problem. If so, did you
get a resolution to it?
