To all:
Does anyone see something in the following EXCLUDE statement that would
still allow the directory path, subdirs, and files to be backed up anyway?
exclude /var/opt/OV/share/databases/openview/ovwdb/current/*.*
This is what the DSMSCHED.LOG reported from yesterday's backup:
/var/opt/OV/share/databases/openview/ovwdb/current/name_info.dir [Sent]

/var/opt/OV/share/databases/openview/ovwdb/current/value_info.pag **
Unsuccessful
You can see why we're trying to EXCLUDE the directory and all its
associated
parts: the files under this specific directory can't be used to recover the
machine.
Any information or insight is appreciated.
