Yes, it's the symlinks. Since you've got the PTF 7 level client you should
be able to use the ARCHSYMLinkasfile option set to no (or put it in dsm.opt).
The silly ADSM client is resolving symbolic links to the files/directories that
they point to, archsyml=no stops this happening and gets links stored as
links.

There's been some discussion on this towards the latter half of last year.
