Re: Linux TSM Server

A server on Linux would, IMHO, make ADSM more marketable. If an organization is
positioned such that it is willing to run ADSM on the Intel platform with all
attendant shortcomings why would they not prefer to run on something far more
efficient than NT? Clearly IBM (or Tivoli) is already shooting at the Intel
market space since there is an NT port and IBM has already blessed the existence
of Linux, particularly RedHat and even offers support. In short: why not?
Of course opinion is my own and has no reflection on my employer.

How many folks might like such a thing?
A couple of other questions:
Do you think having a server available on Linux might cause you to choose a
Linux platform rather than an AIX platform? rather than an NT platform?
Answers here or to me.
