Hi everybody,

I'm trying to backup an Informix 7.30UC7 dbase running on a HP-UX 11
platform (in 32 bit mode). The ADSM client is 3.1.0.7 for HP-UX 10.2 (this
is 32 bit too). The ADMS server is TSM 3.7 running under NT 4.0

When I give the following command to backup a dbspace (onbar -b testdbs),
the following output is written in the bar_act.log file:


2000-02-02 08:42:46 2112  2111 BAR_MAX_BACKUP has been reduced to 64 to
avoid allocating more than SHMTOTAL KB
2000-02-02 08:42:46 2112  2111 /usr/informix/bin/onbar_d -b testdbs
2000-02-02 08:42:50 2112  2111 ERROR: Unable to start the DB/BLOBspace
backup: buc_fe.c : Archive API processing failed at line 245 for *logid.

A call is opened at Informix and they suggested to change the kernel
parameter SEMMNU to 512. This didn't change anything however (why was I
not surprised?). At IBM they say that it is an Informix problem of course.

Has anybody seen this problem already and even better, do you know a solution 
for it?
