It will vary considerably based especially on geography. A primary element
of that would be the cost of living and the availablity of skilled labor.
In the Northeast we have a high cost of living, shortage of skilled
technical people ( only because of the boom in technology and internet
startups.)

With that said you will find that the companies that have in house ADSM/TSM
admins pay generally between $45,000 and $75,000 depending on the skill
level and competition in the area for the skillset. We have 3 different pay
grades with ADSM admins in all of them. The scales overlap too.

Companies such as resellers and integrators tend to pay better. $65,000 to
$95,000 is not out of the norm. The key difference is that many integrators
have you on the road X% of the time, usually locally, but not always. If
that suits your lifestyle then that's the way to go. Less corporate politics
to deal with. If you like the stability, sort of an oxymoron, of the
corporate life then go their.

There is hidden compensation also. Bonuses, I've never seen one myself! Comp
days for working weekends and long hours, seen a few but not as many as I
should, and other benefits.

Hope this helps!
BTW: some days no matter what you make it doesn't seem like enough.

C
