You have to label the tape before you can use it.

Use this command:

     Label libv 'libraryname' search=bulk labelsource=barcode
checkin=scratch devtype='device' overwrite=yes

It will label the tape and check it in from the cap/bulk.

I have 75 DLT tapes - which has been used in ARCserve 6.6 - and I would
very
much like to reuse these tapes.

The following scenario happens both if we have made a "long erased" in
ARCserve and if not.
