Hi All,

Environment:
There are 2 AIX ADSM servers (3.1.2.13), on R40 & Sliver node
respectively.
There are 10 3590-B1A drives in a 3494, and the 3590 drives are daisy
chained 2 by 2.
4 of them are connected to R40 via 2 SCSI adapter; 6 connected to Sliver
node via 3 SCSI adapters.

Question:
As 3590 of Sliver node are always idle, to better utilize the drive, can
I :

1. add one more SCSI adapter to R40
2. Daisy chain 2 3590-B1A (currently connected to sliver node) SCSI using
port 2 of drive then connect to R40 SCSI adapter
3. After connection, always remove the two shared 3590 from Unix & ADSM of
machine A before define them to Unix & ADSM of machine B.

About the two SCSI ports on 3590, can they be online at the same time or
should I disable SCSI port 1 before enable the SCSI port 2?.

Any comnment? Thanks
