Hi Dwight,

Nope, the exclude syntax didn't change in this regard.
It should be working. What version/level of the client
are running? Also, is this the local c: drive?

Some other maybe silly questions: What does your
include/exclude list look like? Do you have any
client include/exclude criteria set on the server?
Did you restart the client or scheduler since
adding the exclude?

Andy

"The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked."

On NT's with the new (well, kind'a old now) universal name stuff was there
ever anything said about altering the syntax of the excludes ? ? ?

for example

Exclude *:\...\pagefile.sys

yields

11/16/1999 21:40:23 ANS1228E Sending of object
'\\amchis231\c$\pagefile.sys'
failed

do we have to scrap the colon ?

Thanks in advance,
Dwight
