Hi,

does anybody have any experience of using the ESS attached via SCSI 2 FW to a
Risc 6000 acting as the ADSM Server.

We currently use native SSA for the disk pool, but are looking to move the the
ESS which uses 6GB of cache, and then Raid 5 on enhanced SSA. We are getting
comparable write to disk speeds, but the read is a magnitude slower, which
impact the copy off to tape. Has anybody any experience of this, and if so
what have they done to improve the throughput.

Cheers in advance.
