Here is the meaning of "Object updated":

The Objects Updated field displays the number of files or directories whose
contents did not change but whose attributes or ACLs had changed. ADSM
updates the attributes or ACLs of these objects on the server but does not
send the objects to the server.

This description is available from the online help of the client gui.

Do you know where ANE4958I is documented or what "objects updated" means?

   ANE4958I (Session: 4856, Node: XXX)  Total number of
     objects updated: 33,837

Normally, the number of objects updated is zero so the large number caught
my attention.
