Trying to substitute a freshly formatted log volume for one which had
been in use won't work. Your best bet may be to remove the ad hoc /tmp
names from the dsmserv.dsk file and do a db restoral to a point before
those volumes existed.
Before proceeding, wait for more suggestions to come in to see what
ideas others may have, in perhaps having had similar experience.
