Hi
  This is an API question.
It is documented that Tivoli client API supports partial data retrieval
for archived file. It is very useful when reading the whole file is too
expensive ( e.g. a 2GB file). Does any body know: if the archived file is
already migrated from one storage pool(faster one like disk) to the next
storage pool(slower one like tape) in the HSM hierarchy, is the partial
retrieval still working? how is the partial data retrieved from that file?
Is that whole file recalled back to the first storage pool(the faster one)?
or, is the data (partially ) retrieved directly from the second storage
pool(the slower one)? Any performance punishment?

Thanks for the help!

Have a nice holiday, everybody!
