Of course I meant to say backing the logs up with
the regular BA client while the Exchange Server is up
will bring you unpredictable results at restore time
because the logs may be in an inconsistent state.
TDP for Microsoft Exchange backs them up online
using the correct Exchaneg backup API and therefore
processes them correctly at backup and restore time.
