Yes, you have to have a very recent microcode level on your drives.
About a month ago I replaced all my copypool tapes with XL tapes and guess
what? ADSM still reports an estimated capacity of 5000 Mb! I was expecting
to see a decrease of about 40 % on the amount of tapes used in the copypool,
but no. For some reason ADSM doesn't seem to fill the XL tapes up to the end
of the volume.
