Another thing we tried when backing up Notes using the baclient was to have
multiple streams running.  We were in the enviable position of having our
database spread over multiple drives so this worked fine.  We were able to
move about 20 GB per hour using four streams over a 100 mbit network.  If
you have multiple drives, I can share with you how to set up four streams.
