Hi Kelly,
Try appending a backslash to the end of the source and
destination filespec, i.e.:
restore backupset c:\adsmtest\4435323.ost -loc=file
c:\winnt\ c:\wintest\ -subdir=yes
Best regards,
Andy

"The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked."
This is cool, by the way.
I'm trying to restore a partial backup set rather than the whole thing. My
command syntax is:
restore backupset c:\adsmtest\4435323.ost -loc=file c:\winnt
c:\wintest -subdir=yes
My goal is to restore the winnt path to wintest. I'm getting two files
restored and that's it and not to the correct place either. I can do a
full
restore of this set using the GUI.
I also notice that the GUI does not allow for partial restores. Will the
GUI in a future release allow for partial restores?
Did I mention this is cool? The ability to generate a backupset, move it
to
the client and do a restore without the server is all right!
